Here is some guidance from Dumfries & Galloway Council about Remembrance events this year:
Honour our fallen heroes with two-minute doorstep silence this Remembrance Sunday
Remembrance Sunday is set to be a very different occasion, as so many services have been cancelled, or attendance at places of worship strictly limited on numbers for those who are allowed to pay their respects – so that’s why we’re joining Legion Scotland to encourage you to join the nation in a two-minute doorstep silence at 11am this Sunday.
No formal Wreath Laying Ceremonies should be held. Churches are allowed to hold an indoor service, subject to the guidance that includes no more than 50 people attending and physical distancing being observed.
Although there will be no services at 11am, there is still the opportunity for you to pay your respects throughout the day, and lay a wreath. If there are others there, please observe physical distancing.
