The Scottish Government is running a consultation on its Marine Plan for Offshore Wind Energy. One of the proposed development areas is just off the Mull of Galloway and the ilse of Whithorn and could be the site for deployment of very large wind turbines - between 200 and 300 metres in height. The overview brochure can be downloaded here or you can visit the Marine Scotland site for full details of all of the sections of the plan at: https://www.gov.scot/publications/draft-sectoral-marine-plan-offshore-wind-energy/. If you would like to voice your comments or opinions on this plan, you need to do it before March 25th at: https://consult.gov.scot/marine-scotland/draft-sectoral-marine-plan-for-offshore-wind/.
